Plan Your Visit

Here is some information to help you plan your visit to Montréal.

Before you arrive

1. Register for classes:

    • On our website;
    • By email at info@ymcalanguages.ca (an international student advisor will get back to you shortly);
    • With an agent in your home country.

2. Read and follow our administrative procedures

When you arrive

We recommend that you arrive in Montréal two or three days before the start of your course. As soon as you arrive, call the school to schedule an appointment with your advisor for your placement test in person or virtually .

    • If you opted for our transportation service, we will greet you at the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport and take you to your accommodations.
    • If you did not opt for the transportation service, you may take a taxi or a shuttle to downtown Montréal and take the metro or the bus to your accommodations.

The first day of school

International students must schedule an appointment with their advisor to take their virtual placement test before the first day of class. If you are unable to take your placement test before the beginning of your course, you report to the school at 8:00 am on the first day of class.
